Turning Innovation Union into a reality

The European Union has set ambitious goals to make Europe‘s economy emerge from the crisis as more sustainable, inclusive and founded on a highly skilled population by 2020. To help attain these goals, the Commission is leading Europe towards becoming an ‚Innovation Union‘: a place where knowledge can move freely, allowing scientists and industry to innovate in order to stay competitive. The Common Strategic Framework (CSF) for research and innovation provides the regulatory and budgetary basis for research policy from 2014 onwards.
